Overview
Events on your page are automatically pulled in from the Skiddle platform, ensuring your event listings are always up-to-date. While most information is automatically populated, you can still enrich your event pages with additional details.
Accessing the Events Section
- Log in to the Dashboard:
- Navigate to your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Go to the Events Section:
- In the left-hand menu, click on Events.
- Select All Events to see a list of current events, or Add New to create a new event (note: new events added manually will be overwritten by automatic updates).
Adding Additional Event Information
- Event Additional Information:
- You can add extra details about the event in the main content area. This can include descriptions, special instructions, or any other relevant information.
- Use the Add Media button to insert images, videos, or other media to enhance your event listing.
- Event Flyer:
- Add a visual element, such as an event flyer or poster, to make your event more attractive.
- Click on Add Image to upload an image from your media library or your computer.
- Event Ticket Area:
- Embed a Skiddle ticket widget to allow users to purchase tickets directly from the event page.
- Obtain the widget code from the Promotion Centre where the event was created.
- Copy and paste the widget code into the Event Ticket Area.
- Link Artist Profiles:
- Add artists performing at the event from the Event Artists section.
- Start typing the artist’s name in the search box and select from the list of artist profiles already created.
- The selected artist profiles will display the artistโs image, name, and a link to their full profile.
By adding supplementary information and media to the automatically imported events, you can create comprehensive and engaging event pages that provide visitors with all the details they need, along with easy access to purchase tickets and learn more about the performing artists.
