The FAQ block

The FAQ block in WordPress is designed to provide an organized and user-friendly way to present frequently asked questions on your website. Here’s how to add and customize an FAQ block on your WordPress site.

Adding a FAQ Block

Navigate to the FAQ Section:

1. Start by logging into your WordPress dashboard.
2. From the sidebar menu, select the appropriate post or page where you want to add the FAQ block.

Add a New FAQ Block:

1. Within the post or page editor, click on the + icon to add a new block.
2. Search for “FAQ” and select it from the available block types.

Customizing the FAQ Block

Content Tab:

• Subheading: Add an optional subheading that appears above the title or text. This provides context or an introduction to the FAQ section.
• Text: Enter the primary content for the block. This can include introductory text or additional information about the FAQs.
• Button: Add a call-to-action button with a link, directing users to more detailed information or related content.
• Frequently Asked Questions: Select any number of frequently asked questions to display from the FAQ section of the site. These can be selected individually.

Settings Tab:

• Section ID: This option allows you to add an ID to the block, which is useful for one-page websites with smooth scrolling links.
• Remove Bottom Margin: Toggle this option if you want to remove the default margin at the bottom of the block. This setting makes the block sit flush with the block below it.
• Show all FAQs: Show all frequently asked questions from the FAQ section, which will be displayed in their corresponding categories. This is ideal for a comprehensive FAQ section automatically organized into categories.

Example Configuration

• Subheading: Common Questions
• Text: “Find answers to our most frequently asked questions below.”
• Button: Link to a detailed FAQ page or contact form.
• FAQs Selected:
  • Dress code
  • Lost property
  • Travel
